Lucas’ incredible 20kg body transformation has got him fit and fired up to excel in his studies at university.
Just a few months earlier and 17-year-old Lucas’ diet and weight were out of control.
He says his love of food and uncontrolled diet had turned him into a slow-moving, overweight teenager and he didn’t know how to turn things around.
Luckily, his dad had already experienced a life-changing transformation at Ultimate Performance Hong Kong and believed Lucas could benefit too.
The programme has been nothing short of a revelation for Lucas who has lost 20kg in 18 weeks along with two thirds of his body fat.
His body shape has changed dramatically, but it’s had an incredible effect on his studies and it has taught him lifelong lessons which will help him stay mentally sharp and in shape for good.
“This transformation has changed my entire life. It has changed the way I think and the way I look.
“I never expected to get the results I achieved, and now it’s amazing to see my six-pack – I have never seen my abs before.
“Achieving these goals have given me motivation and hope. I now understand that I am able to accomplish much more than what I think I can.”
Life was very different for Lucas before he started his transformation at U.P. Hong Kong – he was a completely different person to the fit, strong and confident young man he is today.
“Before starting with U.P., I was physically and mentally disappointed in myself. I knew that I could be so much better, but my physical form was poor, and it left me feeling self-conscious and unhappy with my state.”
“I realised I needed to change something when I started playing football this summer I wasn’t able to run around as much; I couldn’t help my team, and I knew it was because I wasn’t that fit. I also knew that I couldn’t do it on my own at a gym because I didn’t have the drive to do it solo.”
Lucas’ main problem was his uncontrolled eating habits – he ate anything, anywhere and following U.P.’s nutrition plan took some getting used to.
“Before I started at U.P., my diet was all over the place. I didn’t have any restriction or structure to my diet.
“If I saw something that looked good, I would just have it – no second thoughts.
“At the beginning of this year, I started gaining a bunch of weight, and I didn’t know how to control myself.”
Starting his transformation at U.P. was a real shock to the system – but the hard training and bespoke diet were exactly what he needed to get rapid results and build up healthy new habits.
He says the first few weeks were tough before he hit his stride.
“At the beginning of the transformation I was hungry a lot of the time between lunch and dinner, and very sore and tired from the intense workouts at U.P.
“I slowly became used to the routine and my energy, and hunger levels both improved.
“I believe that the structure and routines of the diet and workouts greatly helped my body get used to this strict regime, and allowed me to maximise my energy.”

As the results started kicking in, Lucas’ friends and family started noticing the changes.
The compliments started flooding in, which was a nice motivator for Lucas.
“When people started to comment on the physical changes, it felt kind of nice. It certainly made my time at school more enjoyable!
“The people around me have also expressed how proud they are of me and my hard work, and all that does it make me more proud of myself, and give me more motivation to continue to work harder and push myself even further.
“I am a lot more confident and a lot less self-conscious. I don’t have to think about what other people are thinking of me.”
While the compliments about his new physique have been gratifying for Lucas, it has been the impact of his transformation on his wider life that have made the biggest difference.
He became more disciplined in his studies, more organised and mentally sharper.
He’s starting college next year, and the transformation has given him an extra dose of confidence to carry to his university campus.
“The transformation I have achieved with my physique has helped me uplift a lot of other areas in my life. I am more positive; I have good energy, and I am more focused, more disciplined.
“I feel like I am a happier person all around. I don’t know how and why that happened, but as soon as I started working out I became a lot more disciplined, and I started doing more of my school work.
“I definitely feel more confident and I more open with other people. I carry myself in a more mature way.”
Inspired by his transformation, several of his friends have also signed up at U.P. For Lucas, personally, the U.P. transformation might have ended, but the effects will continue to impact his life for years to come.
