What were your expectations going into your UP transformation and what were your motivations?
“I have followed Ultimate Performance on social media for a while, so I knew I was capable of getting very good results with them, but I wasn’t expecting to see results as fast as I did.”
I have always been really committed to working out and being in decent shape, but in Dubai, there is a lot of temptation, so I wanted the extra push and motivation of being in an amazing facility with a reputable trainer.
“I’m getting married in August and spending six weeks in Vegas visiting my sister before this, so I wanted to be in my best shape and have scope for some inevitable weight gain!”
“I didn’t want to be the bride panicking a month before their wedding wanting to lose a drastic amount of weight. I want to spend that time focusing on feeling good knowing I did the hard work early.”
Can you tell me how you were feeling both physically and mentally before starting your UP program?
“It felt very clear to me that I needed an extra push because I just couldn’t seem to get in the zone on my own. I was okay with how I looked, but it wasn’t how I wanted to be.”
I felt fairly relaxed before starting my training because I knew that I’d invested in something that would result in me looking exactly how I wanted to.
“I also had injuries that were repeatedly flaring up, so I was hoping for these to improve (they have) and also some hormonal issues that were really bothering me which I was also hoping would improve (they have).”
What was your diet and lifestyle like before you started your UP transformation?
“I have always been pretty good with my diet, but I wasn’t super structured, and I never bothered to consider portion sizing so wasn’t fully aware of my macros.”
“I was snacking a lot in the evenings too!”
I rarely trained less than five times per week before I started my training but the quality of my sessions varied a lot, and I had recurring injuries which got in the way.
“I’m fairly sensible with alcohol, but March – April involved a lot of drinking and eating out!”
How did your diet and lifestyle change when you started your UP transformation?
“I didn’t eat out or drink alcohol at all for five weeks. It did get a little bit boring at times, but it was worth it for the results. I reminded myself that I have plenty of fun ahead of me this summer!”
I also became a lot more aware of what I was eating because I was tracking via MyFitnessPal; it definitely made me so much more structured and disciplined.
What effect did this have on your health, performance, lifestyle and energy inside and outside the gym?
“I am so much happier with how I look and feel so much more relaxed going into the summer feeling lean and strong.”
I feel completely injury free, and my hormones have improved so much (I was experiencing really bad PMS).
“I will definitely be more aware of when I drink alcohol throughout the summer and follow a similar structure to make sure I stay on track for my wedding.”
“I feel confident that I can maintain my physique with a good balance between working out, eating well and relaxing a bit at weekends based on my training at Ultimate Performance.”
What were your results like after your transformation?
“I am as lean as I would want to be; if anything I will probably look better in my wedding dress slightly softer, but that’s a nice feeling! I definitely could not be happier with my results!”
It’s quite fascinating suddenly realising how much your body has changed.
What were the most important things you learned during your UP program and what really worked for you in helping you make your transformation?
“If you do what works, it will work. There were weeks where I felt like I plateaued and then I’d suddenly look much leaner and drop more on the scales.”
“It helped to remind myself that if I do what I’ve been told to do, and what I know will work, I will get the results I deserve. Feeling sorry for yourself and giving up won’t get you results!”
Having a committed trainer was also crucial, he was able to identify what I needed both in the gym and with my diet and was responsive to any questions I had.
“He was also great at motivating me during more tired phases! I liked the pressure of having my body fat taken and weighing myself regularly as it stopped me from thinking I could get away with any cheating!”
“My training at Ultimate Performance also reminded me that the more weight training I do, the faster I lean up and the better my hormones are.”
How has doing this transformation changed you and do you think it will benefit you going forward?
“It has helped my hormones so much that I’m scared to change anything! Going forward, I will definitely be making an effort to follow a similar structure in the gym and to be more aware of my macros. “
I have been reminded of how much happier I feel when I’m in the shape I want to be in.
“I know I can’t be in my best shape all year, but I know where to go to when I want to be! I also know that I won’t let things slip too much because I have developed much better and sustainable habits.”

I would recommend UP to anyone who is serious about fat loss because they provide such a structured and thorough program that there is no way you could not succeed.
